On 1 October 2017, a man killed two women at Marseille-Saint-Charles Station. The women, 20-year-old and 21-year-old cousins, were attacked by an illegal immigrant[1] from Tunisia using a knife. Soldiers shot him dead at the scene. French police are cautious as to whether it was a terrorist attack.[2] The ISIS-related Amaq News Agency claimed that the perpetrator was a "soldier" of the Islamic State.[3]
