Markov was waiting for a bus to take him to his job at the BBC. He parked his car on the south side of the Waterloo bridge but the location here is only an approximate site where he was stuck with the end of an umbrella that led three days later to his death. There is a Poon Street Car Park area where he probably parked his car and then climbed stairs to get to the bus stop. However, the specific site needs to be documented.
Georgi Ivanov Markov (Bulgarian: Георги Иванов Марков; March 1, 1929 – September 11, 1978) was a Bulgarian dissident writer.
