Archie McFarland was stabbed to death in his driveway here by his wife's (Mary Ann McFarland) lover Janos Kulcsar on Dec. 9, 1985.  Six month's later, Mary Ann moved in with Kulcsar.  In 2010, Kulcsar was arrested for the murder based on new evidence and was eventually convicted and sentenced to 26 years to life for the crime.
