Magdalena was a 17,547 gross register tonnage (GRT) refrigerated cargo liner that was built in 1948 by Harland & Wolff, Belfast, United Kingdom for the Royal Mail Lines. Launched on 11 May 1948, she was the third-largest ship being built in a British shipyard at that particular point in time.
