2004 Hallam, Nebraska tornado

On May 22, 2004, a tornado touched down outside Hallam, Nebraska. It is recognized on the NOAA's Tornado FAQ as the second-largest known tornado, peaking at 2.5 miles wide. The El Reno, Oklahoma Tornado of May 31, 2013 now holds the width record of 2.6 miles wide.[2][3]
