The US Exploring Expedition tried to negotiate for food here but were attacked and two men were killed. In retalliation, Wilkes had the entire villages of Sualib (here) and Arro destroyed and killed more than 80 natives. The village of Sualib was located near here.

Malolo is located in Fiji

Malolo is a volcanic island located in the Mamanuca Group of Fiji. It is an inhabited island, but focuses on tourism and offers many resorts and other vacation spots. There are many activities offered, including snorkeling, boating, and sight-seeing.
