Couven Museum

Description

The Couven Museum is a museum of the city of Aachen . It displays on three floors bourgeois domestic culture in the 18th and early 19th century from Aachen and the surrounding area. The rooms of the museum are also used for temporary exhibitions. The name of the museum refers to the Aachener Baroque architect Johann Joseph Couvenand Jakob Couven . The museum was in 1929 in the House Fey founded on Seilgraben and after its destruction in World War II in 1958 at the house Monheim reopened on chicken market.
