North Goonyella Coal Mine is located in Queensland

The North Goonyella Coal Mine is a coal mine located in the Bowen Basin at Moranbah in Central Queensland, Australia. The mine has coal reserves amounting to 175 million tonnes of coking coal, one of the largest coal reserves in Asia and the world. The mine has an annual production capacity of 2 million tonnes of coal. 2.6 million tonnes of coal were produced in 2012.^[2]
