The 2001 Indian Parliament attack was an attack at the Parliament of India in New Delhi on 13 December 2001. The perpetrators were Lashkar-e-Taiba (Let) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists.[3] The attack led to the death of five terrorists, six Delhi Police personnel, two watch and ward staff and a gardener, in total 14[4] and to increased tensions between India and Pakistan, resulting in the 2001-2002 India-Pakistan standoff.[5]
