The Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art (京都市美術館 Kyōto-shi Bijutsukan) is one of the oldest art museums in Japan.[1] It is located in Okazaki Park in Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto and opened in 1928 as a commemoration of the Showa emperor's coronation ceremony as it was initially called the Showa Imperial Coronation Art Museum of Kyoto.
