Spikebuck Town Mound and Village Site

The Spikebuck Town Mound and Village Site is an prehistoric and historic archaeological site in Hayesville, North Carolina. The site encompasses the Cherokee village of Quanassee, which was documented during the early Colonial period, and where a trading post was later established. A major feature of the village was the Spikebuck Mound, which is located behind the Veterans Recreational Park off Anderson Street near downtown Hayesville.
