Clydebank Museum

Description

Clydebank Museum is located in Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire, Scotland. It has been open since 1980 in the Town Hall building. Clydebank Museum has a collection of national significance. Object themes are related to local history, and include shipbuilding at John Brown & Company and William Beardmore and Company, Singer sewing machines, Turkey Red Designs, the works of the Scottish Colourists, and the 1941 Clydebank Blitz. The museum has a collection of more than 800 sewing machines dating from 1850 to the early 1980s. It is based within Clydebank Town Hall, and is operated by West Dunbartonshire Council.
