Ashland Railroad Station

The Ashland Railroad Station is a historic train station at 39 Depot Street in Ashland, New Hampshire. The single story post-and-beam structure, with a wide overhanging roof supported by knee braces, was built in 1869 by the Boston, Concord, and Montreal Railroad in order to provide passengers a station separate from the freight depot. It was extensively remodeled in 1891, giving it its present appearance. The station was sold into private hands in 1960, and given to the Ashland Historical Society in 1980, which now operates it as a local history museum.^[3]
