The Castle of Mercuès is located in the department of Lot and the region Occitanie on the commune of Mercuès , it was for 7 centuries the summer residence of comtes- bishops of Cahors . It is now a hotel Relais & Châteaux , a gourmet restaurant a star in the Michelin Guide and a vineyard in AOC Cahors . It occupies a remarkable site above the right bank of the Lot .
