Capidava (Kapidaua, Cappidava, Capidapa, Calidava, Calidaua[2]) was an important Geto-Dacian center[3][4][5][6][7][8][9] on the right bank of the Danube. After the Roman conquest, it became a civil and military center,[10] as part of the province of Moesia Inferior (later Scythia Minor), modern Dobruja.
