The Facultad de Derecho Eugenio Maria de Hostos (English: Eugenio María de Hostos School of Law) was a law school located in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. The School was founded by Fernando Bayrón, Juan Mari Brás and Carlos Rivera Lugo in 1995. The institution lost its ABA accreditation, and then the Puerto Rico Supreme Court also withdrew the accreditation due to school's economical difficulties. Has been closed since 2013, when the last commencement ceremony had only eight graduates. The Eugenio Maria de Hostos Law School (or, Hostos Law School, for short) aspired to achieve the development of a legal professional also responsive to the needs of his or her communities and who would embraced the Hostos educational philosophy.[2]
