The Marshall County High School massacre was a shooting at Marshall County High School in Draffenville, Kentucky on January 23, 2018. As students were gathering in an open area prior to the start of classes, a 15-year-old student with a handgun shot them, killing one 15-year-old instantly, and wounding another who died at a nearby hospital. Seventeen other people were injured, twelve by bullets.^[4]
