Rajiv Gandhi University

Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) (Hindi: राजीव गांधी विश्वविद्यालय) earlier known as Arunachal University, established in 1984, is the oldest university in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. The foundation stone for the university was laid by the then Prime Minister of India Late Smt. Indira Gandhi. The university was renamed as Rajiv Gandhi University in 2005. In 2007 it was converted into a central university.
