Small Roman fort Hillscheid

Description

The Hillscheid small fort was a Roman fort of the Upper Germanic Limes , which in 2005 became a UNESCO World Heritage Site . The partially preserved and reconstructed Bodendenkmal monument is located in the forests northeast of today's Ortsgemeinde Hillscheid , which belongs to the Rhineland-Palatinate Westerwaldkreis .
