The Shalimar Gardens (Punjabi, Urdu: شالیمار باغ‎), sometimes written Shalamar Gardens, is a Pakistani garden and it was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in Lahore, modern day Pakistan. Construction began in 1641 AD
