Its elongated form, due to its architectural history, makes it unique in this species at the Upper Germanic Rhaetian Limes. Dambach's special historical position is also due to the late construction of the stone fort, its two large camp villages and the partly unique find stock due to the moisture-retaining soil since antiquity. Of importance is also a local source shrine with a variety of votive offerings. [1]
