Small Roman fort Hienheim

Description

The small fort Hienheim (also field guard Hienheim ) was a Roman fortification of the Rätischen Limes , which attained in the year 2005 the status of the UNESCO world cultural heritage . The small fort located about 50 meters south of the Roman Empire border and was only discovered in 1979 by aerial archeology and documented. It is today on the district area of ​​the parish village Hienheim in the district Kelheim , Bavaria .
