On February 14, 2024, 23 people were shot in a mass shooting at the west side of Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri. This consisted of one victim's death, and 22 others injured including nine children. The shooting followed a Super Bowl LVIII victory parade for the Kansas City Chiefs.^[2]
