The 2011 Zumpango earthquake was a magnitude 6.5 Mw earthquake that affected several major cities in southern Mexico at 19:47 local time on Saturday, 10 December 2011 (01:47 UTC on 11 December). Its epicenter was located in the city Zumpango, Guerrero,[4] roughly equidistant between the metropolitan areas of Mexico City and Acapulco. The quake was felt in Guerrero, Michoacán, Mexico State, Mexico City and Puebla.
