Fire on the Lüneburg Heath

The fire on the Lüneburg Heath was a major forest fire in 1975 on the southern part of the Lüneburg Heath in north Germany, with various points of origin near Gifhorn, Eschede and Meinersen. It has been to this day the largest forest fire in the Federal Republic of Germany.
