Downsville Bridge

Downsville Bridge is a wooden covered bridge over the East Branch of the Delaware River in the hamlet of Downsville in Delaware County, New York. It was built in 1854, and is a single span, timber and plan framed bridge. It measures 174 feet long and 19 feet wide.:5 At 174 feet (53 m), it is currently the longest historic covered bridge in the state after the 232-foot (71 m) Blenheim Bridge in Schoharie County was destroyed during Tropical Storm Irene in 2011.
