Fort Brandenburger Gold Coast was a kurbrandenburgische fortress of the same colony Brandenburger Gold Coast to the West African Gold Coast . After construction of the fort under the Brandenburg ElectorFriedrich Wilhelm in 1683 it became a central turning point of the slave trade. Here slaves were prior to transfer, mainly, held on the Caribbean sugar cane plantations. ^[1]
