Kingston Museum is an accredited local history museum in Kingston upon Thames, southwest London, England. Built in 1904 and restored in 1992–1997, the museum features three permanent galleries — "Ancient Origins" detailing the borough's past from prehistoric to Anglo Saxon times; the HLF funded "Town of Kings" gallery, continuing Kingston's history as a market town through the medieval period until World War II, and The Eadweard Muybridge Gallery, devoted to the pioneering photographer who was born in and died in Kingston.[2]
