Dirty Dancing (1987) Mountain Lake Resort

In 1987, Mountain Lake Resort was the site of several scenes from the movie including the dining room, kitchen, and the gazebo on the lake.  During the filming of the movie, Patrick Swayze actually stayed in room 232 of the resort.

The story is a coming of age drama that documents a teenage girl's coming of age through a relationship with a dance instructor whom she encounters during the family's summer vacation.
