The 2011 Java earthquake was a magnitude 6.7 earthquake that occurred on 3 April 2011 at 20:06 UTC, with its epicenter 241 km east-north-east of Christmas Island, and 412 km south-east of Jakarta, Indonesia. The quake was reportedly felt in some neighboring countries, in Singapore, one report claims that a quake ranging from magnitude 3-3.9 was felt.[1] A tsunami warning was initially issued, though major waves failed to occur. As of June 2011 it is still the largest Indonesian earthquake of 2011.
