There is still speculation as to whose tomb was opened in 1977 but there are suggestions that it is Philip II royal Tomb I.  If so, the golden weapons found in Tomb II may be those of Alexander the Great.

Philip II of Macedon

Philip II of Macedon (Greek: Φίλιππος Β' ὁ Μακεδών – φίλος phílos, "friend" + ἵππος híppos, "horse" — transliterated About this sound Philippos ; 382–336 BC), was a Greek king (basileus) of Macedon from 359 BC until his assassination in 336 BC. He was the father of Alexander the Great and Philip III.
