The Ghent Altarpiece (or the Adoration of the Mystic Lamb, Dutch: Het Lam Gods) are names given to a very large and complex 15th-century Early Flemish polyptych altarpiece. Of its twelve panel painting, eight are doubled hinged shutters, giving two distinct views depending on whether they are opened or closed.
