Comments

Genghis Khan chose the land around the Burkhan Khaldun Mountains (the source of the Onon, Kherlen and Tuul Rivers) as a closed territory and sacred land around 1202 and from that time forward the land was closed off for more than 700 years until the Soviets under Stalin killed more than 30,000 Mongols and entered the closed lands.
