Comments

Pánfilo de Narváez and his expedition of nearly 300 men landed here in April, 1528.  They moved inland seeking gold but eventually decided that not only was there no gold.  The expedition moved on from Florida but only 4 men eventually made it back to Mexico after storms and disease destroyed them.
