The Mayflower II was built as an accurate replica of the original Mayflower that brought the pilgrims to Plymouth in 1620.
The Mayflower II was built in England in 1954 through collaboration between Plymouth Plantation Living Museum and Warwick Charlton. It sailed across the Atlantic in 1957.
There are staff on the boat that impersonate pilgrims and sailors that came across on the original Mayflower. They speak in the first person and dress and speak as those that lived in 1620.
