Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, (abbreviated UTAR; Simplified Chinese: 拉曼大学; Traditional Chinese: 拉曼大學; pinyin: Lāmàn Dàxué) is a not-for-profit, comprehensive, private university in Malaysia. UTAR is one of the most prestigious private universities in Malaysia, ranked top 100 in Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2018, ranked 2nd in Malaysia after University of Malaya. It was established in June 2002 under a foundation called UTAR Education Foundation, a non-profit organisation.[9] The university consists of 9 faculties, 3 institutes, 3 centres and 28 research centres.[10]
