Pakistan International Airlines Flight 631

On 8 December 1972 Pakistan International Airlines Flight 631 was on a flight from Gilgit Airport to Rawalpindi International Airport in Pakistan. The Fokker F-27 registration AP-AUS had 22 passengers and 4 crew on board the aircraft. But as Flight 631 was in a rain storm when suddenly struck a hill near the town of Maidan, Pakistan the aircraft broke up into 3 parts and the wings and engine caught fire. The crash of PIA flight 631 killed all 26 on board the F-27.
