On November 3, 2006, Michele Young was brutally beaten (30 blows with a blunt instrument) and found dead here in here home the next day by her sister.  Her husband. Jason Young, was hundreds of miles away but police determined that he drove the distance to murder her and returned to where he was staying.  He was charged with the murder but the first trial ended in a hung jury.  In the second trial, he was convicted of the murder.  He was sentenced to life in prison.  Perhaps the most memorable part of the murder was the fact that Jason Young left his child in the house after he murdered his wife.  She walked in the blood and left footprints behind but he took the time to clean her feet.
