32.080856°N 81.090445°W The guns were captured at Yorktown when Lord Cornwallis surrendered to Washington. Washington gave them to the Chatham Artillery in appreciation for the part the local militia played in the Revolutionary War and for the celebration he received upon his visit in May, 1791 to Savannah.
