Eagle Mine is located in Michigan

The Eagle mine project is a nickel and copper mine owned by Lundin Mining. The company is building the mine on the Yellow Dog Plains in Michigan's Upper Peninsula (U.S.). Nickel and copper are the principal metals to be mined, but cobalt, platinum, palladium and gold would also be recovered as by-products. Initial excavation of the decline (ramp) began on 1 October 2011.[2]
