Trinil Museum

The museum holds fossils collected by Eugene Dubois from the site where he found Pithecanthropus erectus (later redesignated Homo erectus), or "Java Man".  The site is located nearby along the river but the exact location needs to be found.  The original specimens were lost during WWI.
