On the 16th of May, 2015 Dean Potter and Graham Hunt died when they BASE jumped from Taft Point. They were doing a jump that required accurate flight ,so as to attempt fly very close to the edges of a cliff face. They were controlling their flight with small wings attached to their suits. Both bodies were found with parachutes unopened, suggesting that the cause of their accident was not parachute related.
