Description

On July 23, 2015, police were sent to a home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. There, they found five people dead and one other person injured.[1] The victims, all members of the Bever family, were brutally murdered by two teenage boys related to the family.[2] The phone call was made by a thirteen-year-old girl who survived but was critically injured; she was undergoing surgery at a nearby hospital. A two-year-old child was also found alive and unharmed inside the house. The parents, as well as three children (two boys, ages twelve and seven; and a five-year-old girl) were all stabbed to death. Knives and a hatchet were found at the scene. The slain children and the younger of the two suspects are minors, so their names are not being released.
