Daniel Boone Home

The Daniel Boone Home is a historic site in Defiance, Missouri, United States. The house was built by Daniel Boone's youngest son Nathan Boone, who lived there with his family until they moved further south. There is no evidence that Daniel Boone resided here - nor owned the property. Apparently he did spend the last few weeks of his life here with Nathan's family. Perhaps from that stay of a few weeks the legend has grown so that we now call it "The Daniel Boone Home." (Extant original sources place Daniel Boone's home further west, near Marthasville, Missouri.^[3]
