Burrhus Frederic Skinner was named the top influential psychologists of the twentieth century in a 2002 survey published in the Review of General Psychology. He was an American psychologist who spent most of his career teaching and researching at Harvard University’s Department of Psychology having published 21 books and 180 articles. Skinner invented the Operant Conditioning Chamber (Skinner Box) which he used in his behavioral analysis experiments by way of a reward or punishment.
