Description

Whitehall (Sutton)

Whitehall is a Tudor period, timber-framed, Grade II* listed historic house museum in the centre of Cheam Village, Sutton, Greater London built around 1500. Thought to have been a wattle and daub yeoman farmer's house originally, it has been much extended. The external weatherboarded appearance dates from the 18th century. In the garden there is a medieval well which served an earlier building on the site.
