The 1983 Borah Peak earthquake created a fault scarp (from normal faulting) about 21 miles long and 115 feet in width as seen here. The scarps within the fault zone range from 6 to 16 feet.

Borah Peak

Borah Peak (also known as Mount Borah or Beauty Peak) is the highest mountain in the U.S. state of Idaho and one of the most prominent peaks in the contiguous states.[5] It is located in the central section of the Lost River Range, within the Challis National Forest in eastern Custer County.
