John Hinckley Jr.

John Warnock Hinckley Jr. (born May 29, 1955) is an American attempted assassin. On March 30, 1981 in Washington, D.C., he attempted to assassinate U.S. President Ronald Reagan. Hinckley wounded Reagan with a bullet that richoched and hit him in the chest. Hinkley also wounded police officer Thomas Delahanty and Secret Service agent Timothy McCarthy, and critically wounded press secretary James Brady. All of the shooting victims survived, although Brady's 2014 death was later ruled a homicide.
