The Nice castle was a fortified structure for military purposes, present the xi th to the xviii th  century on a hill rock overlooking the bay of Nice . After undergoing several seats, including 1543 and 1691, he was captured in 1705 by French troops then destroyed in 1706 by order of Louis XIV .
