Ahu Te Pito Kura platform is Ahu existing near the northern coast of Easter Island , near the Gulf of La Perouse, about 26 km from Hanga Roi . At Ahu Te Pito Kura became the largest statue erected moai on the island, called Paro . This is due Moai statues similar to the nearby Rano Raraku . Statue now lies next to the platform Ahu with his bursts . Originally, about 10 meters high and 75-ton statue was falling broken into two parts. Archaeologists assume that the statue collapsed around 1840.
